Smart Table Customization In SAPUI5

Hi ,

   I am working on the Smart Table Controls in SAPUI5. I have Implemented it in my application. Now i am focusing on the Customization part of Smart Table. How do i change the Filtering options for the table values data type.

     For example if i am having the Valid From and Valid To as part of my Smart Table column, i dont see the contains, starts with options in the filter tab. It should provide the categories based on the Date type.

    Can i add any additional buttons over there on the Smart Table Filter tab? Is it possible on Smart Controls?
